Farmers Markets
The Santa Fe community widely supports local farmers and ranchers. It’s the way people have eaten for as long as we can remember. And the restaurants also support local growers which makes this a special place. While there is only one farmer’s market in town, there is a summer pop-up farm stand that hails from Colorado that is definitely worth a visit.
Santa Fe is home to one of the nation’s top farmers’ markets, so this is a must-see when you are in town. With more than 50 years of history, the Santa Fe Farmers Market is held every Saturday year-round at the Railyard. Tuesdays are added in the months of May through November. So we have two chances to stock up on some of the most gorgeous and best tasting produce, meats, and other locally-produced products you have ever had. There is also an afternoon market on the southside held on Tuesdays in the summer months.
El Dorado Farmers’ Market—Every Friday starting on May 28 until October 8, 2021, from 3:00-6:00 pm at the La Tienda shopping center in El Dorado.
Peach Valley Produce—Though it’s not a farmer’s market, it is a farm stand and you won’t want to miss this, either. Matt Hauser and his beloved Peach Valley Produce head south from Palisades, Colorado, every summer to set up shop in the 3000 block of Cerrillos to sell their produce to hungry customers. With 36 varieties of the sweetest and juiciest peaches, you may not ever be able to eat anyone else’s peaches. And the aromatic melons. And the succulent tomatoes. And then there’s the sweet corn. He also sells cucumbers, onions, potatoes, beets, and more and roasts chile peppers at the end of the season.
