When people in Santa Fe think of schnitzel, one of the first places that comes to mind is the legendary version served at The Compound. Yes, we know. It’s delicious. It’s a local classic for good reason.

But did you know Joe’s Diner & Pizza makes a pretty fabulous schnitzel, too?

Roland’s Pork Schnitzel starts with a tender pork loin that’s coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs and cooked until perfectly golden. It’s then finished with butter and fresh lemon, creating a rich, buttery, lemony flavor.

The pork was juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. Along with it were mashed potatoes and freshly dressed mixed greens. Pretty darn good!

Available every day after 11 a.m. as part of their entrée menu, Roland’s Pork Schnitzel has been on my mind. I will be returning for more very soon.
