Use stale bread
1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
1 can of evaporated milk
5 eggs
1 tablespoon of cinnamon and salt.
2 oz rum (a good substitute is bourbon) beat well…soak bread for 45 mins tossing regularly.
Then make caramel 1 cup sugar melted on the stove.
Add 5 tablespoon butter and 1/2 cup cream mix together till creamy and add to the top of the bread.
Sprinkle with pecans and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
I also added dried cherries to the mix.
When you pull it out of the oven pour 1/2 cup of cream over the top and then serve.
